SUMMARY:A Lumpia Party: Filipino Cooking Class in Rogers\, AR | Lasang Pinoy
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Lasang Pinoy in Downtown Rogers for A Lumpia Party: Roll\, Fry & Feast\, a hands-on Filipino cooking class where guests will learn how to make lumpia\, one of the most beloved dishes at Filipino celebrations.\nIn many Filipino families\, lumpia is more than something you eat at the party — it’s something you make together before the party begins. The filling is ready\, the wrappers come out\, everyone gathers around the table\, and the rolling begins. Some rolls are perfect. Some are a little “creative.” Someone is usually telling a story. And everyone is waiting for that first hot\, crispy batch from the fryer. \nFor this class\, we’re bringing that lumpia party tradition to Lasang Pinoy.\nDuring this two-hour Filipino cooking class\, guests will learn the basics of making lumpia from start to finish. We’ll talk through the filling\, wrappers\, rolling technique\, sealing\, frying\, freezing\, and reheating. Then everyone will get hands-on practice rolling their own lumpia.\nEach guest will make 3 lumpia to enjoy during class and will leave with a dozen freezer-ready lumpia to cook at home\, plus a recipe zine so you can recreate the experience in your own kitchen. \nGuests may choose between two filling options: Classic Beef/Pork Lumpia or Veggie Lumpia. \nWhether you grew up eating lumpia\, tried it for the first time at Lasang Pinoy\, or are looking for a fun cooking class in Northwest Arkansas\, this event is designed to be welcoming\, hands-on\, social\, and delicious. \nWe have 22 seats available for individuals or groups.\nComing with a crew? Groups of 6 or more will be seated together as a Hosted Lumpia Party Table. The person who organizes the group will receive a Lumpia Party Crew T-shirt and a jar of our mango-ginger dipping sauce as a thank-you for gathering their crew. Hosted tables are available while seats remain. \nTickets are $65 per person and include:\nHands-on lumpia instruction\n3 freshly fried lumpia to enjoy during class\nRecipe zine\n12 freezer-ready lumpia to take home \nOptional add-ons will be available\, including sangria\, non-alcoholic sangria\, mango-ginger dipping sauce\, and custom Lumpia Party T-shirts.\nSpace is limited so each guest has room to roll\, learn\, ask questions\, and enjoy the party.

SUMMARY:Kuwento sa Kusina: China & the Middle Kingdom | Filipino Supper Club in Rogers\, AR
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Lasang Pinoy in Downtown Rogers for the next chapter of Kuwento sa Kusina\, our intimate Filipino supper club exploring the stories\, migrations\, and global influences that shaped Filipino cuisine.\nThis month’s theme is China\, the Middle Kingdom — a four-course dining experience tracing the deep connections between the Philippines\, India\, Southeast Asia\, and the historic spice routes that carried ingredients\, ideas\, trade\, and culture across oceans. \nLong before many of the dishes we now think of as distinctly Filipino became everyday favorites\, Chinese merchants were traveling throughout the Philippine archipelago. They brought ingredients\, cooking techniques\, and food traditions that Filipinos adapted over generations—transforming them through local ingredients\, regional tastes\, and family kitchens.  From noodles and soy sauces to steamed dumplings and filled pastries\, Chinese influence is woven deeply into Filipino food culture. \nKuwento sa Kusina means “stories from the kitchen.” Each supper club is designed to feel personal\, communal\, and thoughtful — part dinner\, part cultural storytelling\, and part shared table experience. \nWhat to Expect\nA curated four-course Filipino dining experience inspired by India and the Spice Trade\nStorytelling behind each course and its connection to Filipino food history\nAn intimate communal table with limited seating\nOptional drink pairings available\nA deeper look at Filipino cuisine beyond the familiar favorites \nThis experience is ideal for guests who love Filipino food\, cultural dining experiences\, food history\, supper clubs\, and exploring the global influences that shaped the Philippines. \nEvent Details\nLocation: Lasang Pinoy\, Downtown Rogers\, Arkansas\nExperience: Four-course Filipino supper club\nTheme: China & the Middle Kingdom\nSeating: Limited to 8 at the Family Table\nPairing: Optional beverage pairing available; Alcohol & Spirit Free pairing. \nKuwento sa Kusina means “stories from the kitchen.” Each chapter uses food as a way to explore the people\, histories\, and cultural exchanges that helped create Filipino cuisine as we know it today. \nYou are welcome to join us for the entire journey or simply choose the chapters that interest you. Each dinner stands on its own. \nSeating is intentionally limited to keep the evening intimate\, conversational\, and a little different from an ordinary night out. \nCome hungry for food\, history\, and conversation—and take a seat at the table as we explore the Chinese traditions that became part of the Filipino story.
